Project 1

This art work is satire piece on communist propaganda, inspired by the ridiculousness of dictator leaders and their use off fear to gain power. I showed this by implying that a dictator can seem menacing even though its a cat, I reinforced my idea by adding an army of ruthless soldiers to enforce the dictator's law.I choose a green color scheme because green is usually used for positive or neutral actions. Everything about this piece is satire, from the color to the style, i wanted the viewer to be entertained by the visual mockery, but at the same time to see the communist feel to it. I decided to make it digitally because it was the easiest way to go about this, i spent day looking at communist propaganda and i saw many similarities between posters, most of them had a some kind of official, sometimes a soldier or leader. They also had some kind of scare tactic in the back ground like evil Americans, soldiers, factories, death and war. Lastly i saw that most of the posters had a particular color scheme, usually reds and oranges, to represent war, blood and power,  so i took everything that they had in common and made it my own.

Project 2

This is probably a more literal project than any other, but it was a fun one to create. I was inspired by business book that talks about how to run and maintain a business, in the book there was a chapter about how bosses should interact with their employees. i found it funny when it talked about bosses and how they should not cross the friend line and how the "water cooler gang" is off limits. It also talked about how rewarding your employees is not the way to get them to respect you. After reading this interesting chapter,i decided to create a visual representation of these "rules". I decided to take everything literal, i created a water cooler "Gang", a visible friend line, and a lonely and isolated boss with rewards for his employees. I wanted the viewer to see this hilarious point of view on running as business and them to see that a bosses life is particularly tough when it comes to social interaction.

 Project 3

This project was was a simple prisma colors on black construction paper showing my new leaned skills on making glass look like its see through.
 Project 4

This is my self expressive portrait, i got the idea of of turning the famous Napoleon portrait and making it seem like i was napoleon. I made the clothe look big on me and made everything shorter to make it seem like everything is the same but i have taken the place of napoleon. I used my new learned prisma skill to create skin colors and the changes of values, and applied it on everything. i wanted the viewer to see me as a visionary, not a tyrant little angry man, and an opportunist because i believe napoleon was these things, despite any odds against him he somehow managed to come up on top. Im like that, no matter what physical, mental or emotional obstacle i run across, i will try my best to over come it because i know, like napoleon, i will come up on top.

Project 5

This is my animal theory project , i decided to use my dogs as my inspiration, i didnt want to focus on how precise and how accurate i can be, i wanted to focus on shapes and color. i started by taking photos of my dog with bow ties, to add a little of color , then i took the photos to Photoshop and started to overlay simple geometrical shapes over the main pictures. I wanted to see if could create something so simple but at the same time look very intricate from afar, i want the viewer to see two regular dogs with bow ties and ask why would you just take a picture of two dogs with bow ties, then they get closer and see that is not just too dogs but an arrangement of geometrical shapes in the shape of two dogs wearing bow ties.

 Project 6

This art work is the reflection on how we view the world, i wanted to tackle on a new style.

Meine Vessel:
To create my vessel piece i decide to not use clay but use a different medium. I made mine out of yarn, a balloon and glue. i wanted to think outside the box, or in this case the vessel and created something new, something that most student wouldn't really try as their first project. When i made my vessel, i had to devout many hour and wait patiently for things to dry. i started with a simple idea, get a balloon, cover it in yarn, and put some glue on it so every thing sticks together. well it was harder than i expected, not only was it difficult to wrap the balloon in yarn, it was also difficult to make it stay in place with out it falling apart. Once i figured a way to make everything stay in place, i applied the glue, which in this case had to be applied in layers since i didn't have enough time in class to wait for it to dry completely. After day of layering and glue applying, my vessel was ready to be completed, after popping the balloon and a helpful advise from Miss. Sudkamp, i decided to leave the renaming glue inside so when i put a light insight my vessel the glue parts can reflect the light inside the vessel, which is what is supposed to hold.
